ADOR has announced strong legal action to protect NewJeans from escalating online abuse and misinformation. The agency aims to curb harmful behavior and ensure a safer digital environment for the group.
According to local media reports, ADOR stated that it has been closely monitoring multiple online platforms to protect NewJeans from malicious posts. The agency confirmed that it reviews domestic and international communities, music sites, and social media channels on a daily basis.
The company explained that it has consistently requested the removal of harmful content while pursuing strict legal measures. ADOR emphasized that overseas platforms are not exempt, signaling a unified and uncompromising response across all regions.
Meanwhile, the agency reported a sharp increase in damaging behavior targeting NewJeans. This includes fabricated rumors, privacy violations, verbal attacks, and derogatory language. ADOR revealed that it plans to file criminal complaints against users who spread harmful posts on major Korean community sites.
In addition, the agency highlighted an intensified stance against deepfake crimes. According to ADOR, recent settlement requests from offenders were rejected, as the label communicated its intention to seek severe penalties through official investigations.
ADOR also expressed gratitude to fans for their continuous support. The agency reassured the public that it will keep working to ensure NewJeans can continue their activities without intrusive or harmful interference.
Earlier this week, all five NewJeans members confirmed that they would not appeal the court’s first-trial decision regarding their exclusive contract. The ruling, which recognized the validity of their contract with ADOR, is now final.
Two members, Haerin and Hyein, already announced their official return to the agency, while Minji, Danielle, and Hanni stated they intend to resume activities after a brief delay. ADOR noted that individual meetings are currently being arranged as part of the process.
