BTS leader RM has asked fans in Peru to stop gathering outside the group's hotel. His message highlights the importance of privacy, rest, and responsible fan behavior during the ARIRANG World Tour.
BTS RM Asks Fans to Stop Crowding Peru Hotel During ARIRANG World Tour
BTS RM has urged fans in Peru to respect the group's privacy during their world tour. The request followed large gatherings outside the members' hotel in Lima. The situation raised concerns about noise, safety, and adequate rest before performances.
According to Korean media reports on October 8, 2026, RM addressed the issue through Weverse. He thanked Peruvian ARMYs for their enthusiastic welcome. However, he also explained that continuous crowds outside the hotel were disrupting the group's rest.
RM noted that the noise affected both BTS members and their staff. Other hotel guests were also experiencing inconvenience. He encouraged fans to show their support without gathering around the accommodation.
The incident occurred during BTS's ARIRANG World Tour stop in Lima. The group scheduled performances at Estadio San Marcos on October 7, 9, and 10. These concerts marked an important moment for local fans eager to see BTS perform in Peru.
Peruvian newspaper El Comercio also covered the growing crowds near the hotel. Local reports described enthusiastic fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the members. Some ARMYs subsequently encouraged others online to respect the artists' personal space.
However, the situation extended beyond one gathering. Local coverage reported renewed crowds and traffic disruption following a drone show. The developments highlighted the challenges surrounding major international celebrity visits.
RM's message also reached fans beyond Peru. He encouraged audiences in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and upcoming Asian tour destinations to follow similar guidelines. His appeal emphasized that meaningful fan support should include respect for personal boundaries.
For BTS, sufficient rest is essential during a demanding international concert schedule. Traveling between countries, rehearsing, and performing require considerable physical energy. Persistent noise outside hotels can make recovery more difficult.
Meanwhile, the incident has sparked wider conversations about K-pop fan culture. Enthusiasm remains central to the relationship between artists and their supporters. Yet respecting privacy can help create a safer environment for everyone involved.
RM's request was not a rejection of the fans' affection. Instead, it reflected his hope for a more considerate concert experience. As BTS continues its ARIRANG World Tour, his message offers a reminder that genuine support extends beyond the concert stage.
